What’s Marshall Design?

Steve Marshall has been building and outfitting boats and inventing boat gear since he was 25 (that’s a lot of years).  He sailed over 35,000 miles in a boat he designed and built himself, sailing through the South pacific, Hawaii, Alaska, and the Californian coast.  Using his sailing experience he started selling products he had designed/used during his cruising career. He is the inventor of the Forespar Nova Lift, Nova Davits and the Davis Engine Hoist strap and holds multiple patents. We became good friends throughout the purchase and refit of Billabong, and even spent a couple of months with him during our visit to Australia. He is currently building a new concept lightweight Trailer Trawler (with vacuum infused panels) and writing a book on designing/building Hard Dodgers. (See www.marshalldesign.blogspot.com).  He has been instrumental in upgrading & enhancing Billabong; turning her into the great offshore cruiser that she is today.
